I hope you all had a GREAT break!!!

Here is an overview of some of the things we were doing before the break:

Animated Alphabet:
-Review (Letter Recognition and Letter Sounds)
-Identifying the Beginning Sounds in Words
-Draw and Label a Cat
-Reading and Finding Sight Words

HWT:
-Practice Writing Letters and Pencil Grip

Social Studies/Science: Thanksgiving
-We made Pilgrim hats and bonnets, Native American headbands and vests, and place mats.
-The kids examined a pumpkin and an orange. When they finished, the class made a comparison graph.
-Made Butter
-Thanksgiving feast (cornbread and fruit)

Math:
-Graphing
-Addition
-Subtraction
-Counting
-Recognizing Numerals
-Ordering Numerals

Parents: I really enjoyed visiting with you during conferences! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

If your child would like to bring a piece of his/her favorite fruit on Monday, we will use it to make a fruit salad on Tuesday for our class Thanksgiving feast.

An Overview Of Our Classroom Activities!

Conferences were last week. I really enjoyed visiting with you about your children. Thanks so much for coming!!!

Animated Alphabet: Met Baby Barnaby (Draw and Label a Bus)
